Recent recruit to the yard who was a decent flat horse when trained by Gerard Butler. Won his only start over hurdles at Towcester prior to joining the yard and found the ground slower than he liked when 4th at the same track on his only start for the stable. Cordage showed his 13 rivals a clean pair of heels in the last race at bath yesterday (14th June) when he won at 11/1 under an intelligent ride from Frankie McDonald. Cordage took up ther running from the off and was never headed in this 1 mile 2 furlong race which was run on his favoured good to firm ground. Cordage has been running over hurdles since arriving at the yard and had not run on the flat for 18 months.
